Substantive quality, sustainability in the way we think and act and responsibility for people, the environment and society — these ideas have shaped our company's mission statement for many years and all of our employees share this sense of obligation: to work with competence and dedication towards the goals of our customers.
For almost 50 years, emtechnik has been developing innovative plastic connectors and fittings in small nominal diameters which are able to meet even the most extreme requirements in medical, chemical, analytical, semi-conductor, solar or lab technology. This successful path from pioneer to one of the worldwide market leaders is the result of our responsibility for the highest quality, quality with which our company sets new standards in many industries. For more safety, reliability success of our customers.
We have introduced a consistent quality assurance system at our headquarters in Maxdorf extending from delivery of raw materials to production and assembly and on to delivery to the customer. The system is audited by several leading companies and meets the requirements of DIN ISO 9001.
Since 2008 we have converted our entire energy supply to renewable raw materials through investment in our block heating and regenerating plant. By simultaneously modernising our productions plants, we are making use of the heat produced during energy recovery to heat or cool our production machines and buildings. And with the same consistency we apply to reduce our CO2 emissions to nearly zero in this manner, we are recycling all of our production waste, thereby contributing actively towards protecting nature and the environment.
Embodying responsibility for emtechnik also means a high level of dedication to social responsibility, by continuously supporting youth activities as well as instruction and training in Maxdorf and the region. We do this because supporting youth is the most important investment in the future for us. Locally, we have been supporting the Youth Centre and the TSG Maxdorf basketball team for many years. In cooperation with the secondary school in Maxdorf, we help to open up professional perspectives to young people with internships and job application training. As part of the Mannheim Model for Promoting Small and Medium Enterprises, we support students at the Mannheim Institute of Technology in courses of study for engineering management and machine construction, and we are participating with the Ludwigshafen University of Applied Sciences in the dual Bachelor in Logistics program, a course of study that has just been set up.
