11th International Sales Meeting

Developing strengths together.

Mutual exchange and team spirit were much in evidence at the 11th International Sales Meeting.

In Germany they say “When you go on a trip, there’s a lot to tell about”. And never were truer words spoken when employees of EM-TECHNIK subsidiaries from all over the world came together for the annual International Sales Meeting (ISM) at corporate headquarters in Maxdorf, Germany. Even as the world is growing closer together in global commerce, structures and conditions of local markets differ in numerous aspects between Europe and Asia. Therefore intensive interchange among colleagues from Belgium, France, Holland, India, Italy and Switzerland was the focus of the three days of meetings at the 11th ISM. Along with presentations of new products, for example the new compact series 6R ball valves with electrical part-turn actuator, discussions centred on current projects, strategic alignment and common goals to continue developing existing potential and strengths of the EM-TECHNIK family. But not everything at the ISM revolved around know-how transfer and developing technical competence. To promote team spirit and shared company identity, managing director Michael Meier surprised participants at the meeting this year with a juggling seminar. The main point was to have fun, but the abilities required to juggle plates or three balls can easily be transferred metaphorically to working together successfully: A good eye, a knack for the right balance and finally skilled coordination to keep all the balls in rotation in the air. And because understanding each other is not entirely a matter of verbal communication, the culinary aspect of the 11th ISM this year was devoted to Indian food. The Kamath family from EM-TECHNIK INDIA insisted on treating attendees with Indian delicacies they had prepared themselves. The 11th International Sales Meeting was a successful mix of fresh knowledge and inspiration for all the senses.
