  • 6R Electrical Ball Valve - compact & unrivalled

The 6R ball valve is fitted with our compact electrical part-turn actuator and is the ideal solution for space-efficient assembly thanks to its compact dimensions.

Designed for long-term use, they are available in 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-way versions. The principle is always the same: there is a rotatable ball with a bore inside the ball valve. This ball is turned 90 degrees (a quarter turn) to change the flow of media through the valve.

In the case of a 2-way ball valve, there is just a closed and an open position. 3-way valves have an L- or T-shaped bore. The L-shaped bore (angled bore) is ideally suitable to apportion or divert the media. With a T-bore, the switching options are greater since up to four switching positions can be selected. The following switching diagram shows extensive options, also with 4- and 5-way ball valves.

Plant panels where valves are difficult to access require an electrical solution to provide remote access from a control station. A pneumatic ball valve requires air as a second auxiliary energy and only a limited number of switching diagrams can be mapped. The electrical ball valve offers more switching options. It can also control a closed position with a 3-way valve, for example.

Our electrical ball valve also impresses on an optical level. An optional position indicator (6RD) can also display changes in position at the installation location. The indicator features an LED display on the housing head, which can signal all positions of the ball.

Made of impact-proof polypropylene, the motor housing guarantees high corrosion resistance, meaning this ball valve is also eminently suitable for long-term use in an aggressive environment. The geared motor has a lifespan of around 2,000 h to 3,000 h, which corresponds to 500,000 cycles.

Acting as position indicators, wear-resistant hall sensors transmit the ball’s position directly to an integrated processor board. The ball valve is actuated by a BCD signal. A connector can be used to connect a programmable logic controller (PLC) or a process control system (PCS). It features an IP65 protection class, also when an optical position indicator is fitted – neither dust nor jets of water are able to penetrate.

Quality and reliability are the hallmarks of our 6R, meaning downtimes are minimised.

Our products allow you to switch aggressive liquids and gases safely in compliance with legal requirements. Our 6R is available to you in 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-way versions made of PP, PVDF and PFA.

For safe and simple installation of the 2-, 3-, 4- and 5-way ball valves of the 6R series, further, different accessory variants are available depending on the area of application.
